Yes yes, it's a shame, isn't it, when rules are brought forth, restricting the power of others. However, and with a great deal of regret, they are needed to keep order.
Please keep in mind the punishments given if these rules are not followed:
- First Offense: A Mild Warning
- Second Offense: Banned for a Week
- Third Offense: Termination of your character and 3 months ban on the IP list
So now that that is straightened out, let's move on to the actual rules:
1) Relations to characters from the books, made by your own design, is prohibited unless permission is given by the canon character and Administrator of the site.
2) This is an advanced Roleplaying site. Posts should be well typed and make sense. This includes the banning of netspeak and one-liners. All posts should have a minimum of two paragraphs, no less.
Here are examples of good and bad posts
Bad: Amie ran thru the doors & crashed into Voldie. Sir I lyke, got here as fast as I could!
Good: Amie made her way through the crowded halls, trying to reach the Dark Lord's office. Attention was focused solely on her mission and she soon came to stand before the wizard himself. A bow of the head was given in respect, "Sir, please forgive me. I got here as fast as I could."
See the difference? Good.
3) NO god-moding. It's annoying. No one has the right to control another character, by any means. Even if you are posting a thread and use another character as part of your post, such as a canon, it's god-moding. Offenses like this will result in the closing of the topic, thus ending it for others as well, even if they are innocent. Don't ruin it for others. Thank you.
4) ACTIVITY: We all have lives, I understand that, but it would be nice to know if you wont be around for a while. If you are inactive for over 15 days, and don't let people know your account will be deleted. In another 15 days, if nothing has changed, your characters will be up for grabs to those who wish to have them.
5) Character death is frowned upon. If you wish to kill off your character, please talk to the administrators and the one that will be killing your character first. Ghosts will be rare exceptions and so all deaths are permanent.
That is all for now. More will be added later.
