Gabrielle turned on his side, his arm coming to rest gently across Destrane's troubled form. "Come here," he whispered, lightly tugging him to him in a warm hug. "For starters, don't hurt yourself. And secondly," He had yet to notice the pillows that the castle had placed beneath them; it truly was a very magical place. "Why don't you talk to her about this? I'm sure you can come to some sort of conclusion. You two both have very brilliant minds, I'm sure you both can come compromise."

Destrane sighed, breathing in deeply. "I don't know, I don't think I can. My father doesn't really want me around her anyways." The marks around his neck from when Voldemort almost killed him a week before were still visible and he still coughed every once in a while, like at this moment. "And I dunno, it just felt weird when I saw that in your mind," he paused, mumbling a sorry for invading his space in the first place.

Gabe chuckled and simply tightened his embrace on the younger boy. "It's quite alright," he replied, mostly to the 'sorry'. "And I'm sure it was strange, but you still need to speak with her." They sat in silence for a moment before he pressed a tender kiss to Destrane's forehead, a soft sigh escaping his lips. There was so much he wanted to tell his student, a boy he considered his own more often than not, but ... He could not find the courage within him to say any of it aloud.

He lay his head against Gabe's shoulder, staring off into space. A small, weak smile touched his lips at the kiss before he sighed. "It kind of hurt," he admitted after a moment, thinking. "I mean...we broke it off for the very fear of my father finding out and now that my own sister is where I was a few years ago..." he broke off and shook his head. "Without Helena in my life right now, I don't know what I'd do," Rane smiled fondly at the memory of his beloved girlfriend.

Gabrielle simply nodded and kissed the top of Des' head, letting a rather comfortable silence surround him. The toll of the clock tower at the front of the school alerted him to what time it really was, and he sighed, reluctantly releasing his student from their hug. "It's getting late," he began, moving himself into a sitting position. "You should be getting back to your rooms."

Destrane nodded and slowly stood. He shook his head, the alcohol and aches quickly making themselves known. The boy smirked and tilted his head, immediately falling back into the cold, emotionless boy that everyone knew. It would be terrible if they knew that he had weaknesses.
