"Des..." he whispered, the sight of the boy's pain tugging menacingly at his heart. "I hadn't realized ...." Gabe took a few steps closer to him, resting his hand on the younger boy's shoulder. "I thought you would ... you know, come and see me if things got too bad."

Destrane backed away sharply, his eyes glazing over to hide all of his emotions. "It's not fucking helping that my girlfriend is pregnant and that we have to marry before the child is born," his voice was low, hard to hear, as he revealed this. "I'm not ready for any of this, I'm too young...." he sighed, "she's too young." He walked over to the desk and leaned against it.

Gabrielle took in a sharp breath. "Pregnant?" he whispered. "Oh, Rane... You should have come to me!" He followed his former lover to his desk, trying to get him to look his way. "We can still figure something out. Well," He shifted so he was sitting on the corner of his desk. "If you're up to hearing what I have to say."
There was a pause before Gabe took a deep breath, hoping he would word what he was trying to say properly. "I'm sorry for the detention; you can come here instead, but I couldn't exactly play favourites with you. I don't need the whole school suspecting that I'm a Death Eater." He let his hand come up and rest on Des's shoulder once again, hoping the younger wizard would ask for something, anything to make his situation better.

His eyes flashed as Gabrielle called him Rane. That was not a nickname he ever wanted to hear again. No comment was made, however, as he shook his head. "My father wants it, so it has happened," he looked up, clearly darkening his mood in order to feel normal once more. "Pregnant...caused because of a a rape situation when she threw a vase at my head," he shook his head and kicked the desk, reparing it with a quick spell as his boot dented the wood.
"No, no I shouldn't. We're over, I shouldn't count on you anymore, I've been a fool, trying to get your attention," he chuckled bitterly at himself before closing his eyes.

Gabrielle smiled weakly and patted his shoulder. "Yes, but I still hope you can consider me a friend." he replied softly. "And friends rely on each other, no matter what the situation." He sighed and rubbed his neck. "You ... you raped her?" he asked, hoping he'd heard wrong. The Destrane he knew was much more ... docile than that.

Destrane spun sharply, eyes flaring cruelly. "Things have changed, Professor. I'm not who I used to be, and I never will be." His eyes closed and he shook his head. "I..I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that. Yes, Ibeing friends would be good...you're...you're like a father to me when the Dark Lord isn't with me..." he admitted softly, "if I could love," he shuddered at the word, "I would love you, but, never as I once did. We've both moved on," he chuckled humorlessly. "I'm glad, less problems but we still have each other."

Rielle nodded before pulling Des into a warm hug, nothing intimate or romantic, just a hug to comfort and warm. "I'm glad you see me that way," he whispered, biting back tears of happiness. "Because you're like the son I never had." He let out a soft sigh before releasing Destrane and picking up his wand he'd set on the desk. "Think you can pretend to still be pissed so no one gets suspicious?" he asked, winking to assure his words were only to tease.

Destrane raised an eyebrow. "I play a game everyday with people, hell, it'll be easy," he stuck his tongue out at him before shoving the door open, angry mask firmly set in place. He stormed over to his desk and sat down, folding his arms over his chest. His eyes glinted cruelly as he shook his hair from his eyes.

"Fantastic," he muttered, before gesturing Des to stand. Gabrielle moved to the door and winked before opening it, then set his own furious mask over his face. "I don't want another word from you the rest of the period, understood?" he said angrily as he opened the door and escorted Rane back to his desk. "As for you, Miss Moore," He moved over to the girl and unhooked her from the chair, deciding to leave the chair for later. "You get your things and wait by the door." He turned to the rest of his class and pointed his wand to the board, where a long list of essay requirements. "Work until I come back." With that, he went to the door and gestured Helena exit before he did, so he could keep an eye on her. "I expect better from you, Miss Moore."

Helena watched as her lover came back into the room then cast her eyes toward the professor. Sitting still as he unhooked the clip, she quickly did as she was told, gathering her things and forcing them into her satchel before moving quickly over to the office door. She hung her head as he began scolding her, “I’m sorry, Professor Ivy. I was out of hand.” she said softly admitting her wrong doing.

"That you were." her replied curtly. Gabrielle made certain that his student stayed in his view, for the most part, as he didn't want her to run back to his classroom. Their trek to Severus Snape's office was silent, and he barely muttered the password to the gargoyle before allowing Helena to start up the stairs before him, once again taking precautions. He knocked on the door that lead to the Headmaster's office and waited patiently to be invited in.

Helena walked before him in a walk of shame tucking her robes tightly around her as she made her way through the drafty hallways. Going up the stairs she sighed softly as he knocked on Snape’s door dreading what was coming.
“Enter!” came the gruff voice of the Headmaster from the other side of the door before it opened itself revealing Snape at his desk. “Gabrielle … Ms. Moore, what can I do for you?” he asked placing aside his scroll book.

Gabe cleared his throat and clasped his hands behind his back. "I was simply bringing Miss Moore up for adequate punishment for her misbehaviours in my classroom this afternoon." he began, before going into the list of things she had done, including the refusal to dismount Destrane and willful disobedience of his rather lenient rules. "I thought it best to bring her to you, because it not only separates the two of them, but she was, in my observation, fifty-five percent responsible for the actions that occurred; don't you agree?"

“This incident has happened before, Gabrielle, in McGonagall’s and trust me they share equal blame.” The Headmaster looked between Gabe and the girl who was hanging her head down low. “Besides punishment, I will rearrange her schedule to where she does not have classes with Mr. Savien from now on. What was your entail punishment for her?” He asked as he took out a class schedule and began filling it for the girl making sure that not once class was with Destrane.

Gabrielle moved so his hands were clasped in front of him instead of behind and shifted his feet beneath him. "Detention for the remainder of the week, and a request for a schedule change should the incident occur again, in any class." he replied. "As Slytherin Head of House, you know I will hear about it straight away."
